Viper HD 11-33X50 Spotting Scope (Angled)

I’m a Vortex fan and I look forward to every release they come out with. Whether on the range or out in the field spotters are a valuable piece of equipment in the pack. Spotters have historically been a pretty heavy addition to the pack that keeps you on the edge of whether to haul it or leave it behind. The previous Viper weighed in at just over three and a half pounds and the new one comes in at sub two lbs 27.8 oz and the smaller size makes it very packable.
You can feel the difference from the moment you pick up the scope. I found the the glass to be very clear and the spotter has a good field of view which helps when glassing closer objects. The dual knob focus is a standout on this spotter allowing for you to get a clear image rapidly with the back knob being setup for your quick adjust and the front knob being your fine adjustment just like those microscopes we used way back in school.
Coming in at under $900 this would be considered a budget spotting scope that delivers both quality and versatility. This spotter would cover most anyone’s needs unless they needed more than a 33 powered zoom.
