Reminder - Be On The Lookout For BearsWA/Or State Website, Bear Hunting Magazine
A reminder from many who live in states that have bears in high concentrations. In the fall, bears are nearly constant feeders. They voraciously consume appealing foods for up to twenty hours a day, bedding down for only short periods, in order to increase their body fat reserves for winter.
There have been reports over the past few weeks of bears being seen anywhere from a busy street in Washington state to a neighborhood in Massachusetts to a school yard in Florida. If you live in a area where bear are common, remember to keep all trash and bird feeders secured.
