Vermont Hunter Shot While Bear Hunting

Vermont State Police are investigating the shooting of a hunter by another in his hunting party Sunday afternoon. It happened while a group of hunters were bear hunting in the area, using hounds pursue the bear. A hunter shot two rounds at the bear, one wounded the bear while the other round missed and hit the other hunter that was approximately 100 yards away.
Police stated that a 58-year-old man from Wolcott was being treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
