British Columbia Closes Two Campgrounds

British Columbia Ministry of Natural Resources, Bear Hunting Magazine

A black bear who has stolen food and backpacks from campers has forced the province of British Columbia to close of two of its campgrounds near Sombrio Beach in Juan de Fuca Provincial Park.

British Columbia conservation officers are trying to trap the young bear so it can be relocated. Having acquired a taste for human food, the bear poses a threat to people in the area.
