Two weeks after Weston residents saw black bears running around their city, people on Florida's west coast are seeing a similar sight.

Biologist Mike Orlando with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said that residents are feeding the black bear. There may be more than one bear in the area, so wildlife officials warn residents to be on alert.

The sightings have occurred south of Fort Myers and the Lehigh Acres area. Residents have reported seeing the bear in trash bins.

Wildlife officials plan to trap the bear and relocate him to an undisclosed location. Biologists believe the bear is a young male.

In Weston, there were three separate reported bear sightings that prompted some to call for a beat hunt.
