Bear spotted in Puyallup, WABear Hunting Magazine
Police and state wildlife agents converged on Bradley Lake Park in Puyallup after a young black bear was sighted.
Wildlife agents failed to get close enough to the bear to tranquilize it but brought in a baited drum trap that they hoped would entice it overnight. Officials reopened Bradley Lake Park on Monday after closing it for three days to try to catch the bear.
The bear is still on the loose, but state Fish and Wildlife agents believe it has moved elsewhere.
While the 59-acre park on the Pierce County city's South Hill contains lots of woods, it is also located right behind a Wal-Mart store.
