Traveling To Hunt? Know The Rules!

Passport Requirements Coming Into Effect

Gary Gustafson, Bear Hunting Magazine

US citizens traveling to Canada for their bear hunting trips need to be aware of passport rules. Beginning on January 23rd of this year (2007) all air travelers need a passport to fly into the U.S. from another country, including Canada--even if you are returning on a round-trip flight.

Car and boat travelers may need a passport as early as January 1st, 2008. The official date has not yet been set. Visit our "Go Hunting" section and select the Province you are visiting, then click on "Passport Requirements" to read more.

Gun hunters who want to know about Canadian gun laws should also visit our "Go Hunting" section for the province you are visiting and read the Canadian gun import rules.
