New Brunswick, Canada sees increased bear population

New Brunswick Wildlife Federation (NBWF) calls for expanded bear hunting licenses

The province's bear population has grown over 40 per cent in the past decade, so the NBWF requested hunters be allowed to kill 2 bears per license. The request was denied, reportedly due to pressure from international groups about harvesting of bears.
