Idaho Bear Euthanized After Killing Goats

Idaho Fish & Game Department, Bear Hunting Magazine

Wildlife officers with the Idaho Fish and Game Department released a statement regarding a black bear that raided trash cans and killed two goats along Idaho Highway 55 north of Boise in late April. This is the same bear that showed up in the area last year and stayed after someone gave it food. It was live-trapped at the time and moved to the Garden Valley backcountry in the fall where it likely hibernated.

But officials stated the bear returned in the spring to the area where it remembered receiving easy food. The bear was euthanized after acting aggressive towards local residents and killing the goats.
