Grizzly Bear Cub Found In Florida

Updated News Flash:
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission caught the missing grizzly bear cub in Collier County. Officers located the bear and tranquilized it, so it could be safely returned to its facility.

They're still trying to figure out how the cub escaped to determine what actions will be taken to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Original News Flash 1/15/2013:
Authorities in Florida are searching for a grizzly bear cub that ran away from a private residence in Golden Gate Estates this morning.

The 100-pound cub ran away from the residence around 11:00 this morning. Wildlife officers advise anyone who may encounter the cub not to run. Rather, clap your hands and say, “Bear go home.” The cub, which was raised in captivity, will likely run away. Those who live in the area are advised to secure trash cans in their garage or enclosed area.
