Maryland Bear Killed In Accident With Car

Two people were taken to the hospital with not life-threatening injuries after the vehicle they were in struck and killed a black bear on a Maryland Interstate west of Hancock, Maryland. The accident happened shortly before 11pm.
The vehicle drove off the road after it struck the bear. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources was called to remove the bear.
