Kentucky Closes Campground Due To Bears

Kentucky Dept. Fish & Wildlife, Bear Hunting Magazine

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources along with Daniel Boone National Forest officials have closed a second campground in the forest after a black bear encounter.

State officials are trying to move the bears from the campground, which will remain closed until they are captured and moved, or it is determined the bears have left the area around the campground. The drought has dried up the bear's natural food supply, causing them to roam in search of food.
