The Pittsburgh Mills Mall, which is about 15 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, was the scene of a very interesting bear encounter Saturday night.
Pennsylvania authorities stated that a one and a half year-old bear, estimated to weight around 125 pounds, walked across a parking lot, through doors and into the Sears around 9pm. The bear walked around the store for about ten minutes, growled at customers, and then became stuck between a set of double doors.
The mall was evacuated and the Pennsylvania Game Commission came in to tranquilize the bear and remove it. The bear had a tracking collar on it so more information may be released about the bear later this week.
