Michigan Man Fined For Ontario Bear Kill

An Ontario, Canada court fined a Michigan hunter $1,250 for leaving a bear carcass to rot in the woods where officials found it.
The man from Linden, Michigan was found to have shot a black bear in 2010, but let the meat spoil and did not tag the bear. He was found with the hide from the bear.
The court fined him $1,000 for letting the meat spoil and $250 for not attaching a game seal to the animal after shooting it. He is also barred from hunting black bear in Ontario for one year.
