A federal judge rejected the federal government's claim that it cannot be sued over the fatal bear mauling of a man outside of Yellowstone National Park back in June of 2010. See the original News Flash on this attack here here.
The man's widow had filed a $5 million wrongful-death suit against the government, stating that the researchers were negligent in dealing with the grizzly and taking down warning signs in the area too soon. The 70-year-old man was killed by the grizzly on June 17, 2010 after the bear had been tranquilized by federal researchers.
